Domaine de la Vougeraie, Volnay 2019
“Maximum 12 bottles per person.

“”The 2019 Volnay Village is a blend of several parcels including young vines planted in 2013. Containing 15% whole bunch, it has an overtly floral bouquet of red berry fruit infused with pressed violets. The palate is medium-bodied with a candied opening. Quite fleshy in style, it needs more density and grip on the finish. A bit ephemeral given its appellation. “”
Domaine de la Vougeraie was created in 1999 when Jean-Claude Boisset combined all of his vineyard holdings from his various négociant companies into one. The name was inspired by Boisset’s significant holdings in the village of Vougeot. The domaine covers over 25 hectares of vineyards in more than 20 different appellations, including 6 Grand Crus and 7 Premier Crus. Through a holistic vision incorporating biodynamic practices the team are producing top quality wines, each with a distinct sense of place in an elegant satisfying style.Biodynamic”
