“Maximum 3 bottles per per person.
93-96 pts from Jasper Morris MW:
“”Not yet racked. This will only be available in magnum. This glows in all the senses, both the colour and the concentration of fruit on the nose. More generous than the regular, seemingly softer, but pre racking, and exceptionally long. Not always the case, but a definite preference here this year. “”
Benjamin Leroux is considered by many to be the successor of Henri Jayer as Burgundy’s standard-bearer, his technical knowledge about wine and most of all his emotional connection to each terroir runs deep. After establishing his name by leading Domaine Comte Armand for eight years, Leroux started a négociant business in 2007 to make wines under his own label.
Leroux and producers like him are waking up the wine world to the fact that the reputations of many Côte d’Or vineyards have as much to do with the producers who work them as the intrinsic qualities of the sites themselves. He carefully selects his growers and exerts maximum control over them, converting them to organic and biodynamic practices. Empathy, rather than dogma, governs winemaking choices as Leroux adapts his approach for each wine rather than simply following a singular set of rules Organic N/C
