Tasting Notes
Vinous 91
The 2022 Bonalgue was picked on 5 September and aged 45% in new oak. It has quite a high-toned and ripe nose: black cherries, licorice and just a touch of prunes. The palate is tannic on the entry, dense and grippy, with layers of black plum and raspberry fruit laced with cedar and black pepper. It feels imposing at the moment, but with bottle age, it should mellow to become an enjoyable, if broad-shouldered, Pomerol.
Anticipated maturity: 2030-2060
