2020 Chateau Lagrange, Pomerol 12x75cl

JS95-96VM89/100
Lagrange will be one of the vintage’s hottest wines, with scores in the mid 90s from Suckling. We rated the 2020 the best vintage ever for this property. Situated on the northern border of the... Pomerol plateau close to many illustrious neighbours, the vineyard is planted on heavy clay soils, where water retention in 2020 was so important. The vineyard work is meticulous, allowing the grapes to be picked when they are perfectly ripe. Supple, round, generous and fruit-driven, Lagrange is a delightful expression of the lighter style of Pomerol wines, approachable in its youth yet age worthy too.
